Things just keep trending in the wrong direction for Philly, as they've now dropped four straight. Last night marked the latest setback – a 126-111 loss to one of the league's worst teams, the New Orleans Pelicans.
That's a disturbing loss in itself, but now the Sixers face a quick turnaround on the second leg of a back-to-back, traveling to take on Anthony Edwards and a Timberwolves squad looking for its fourth consecutive win.
Minnesota has been sharp on both ends of the floor, ranking top five in offensive points per 100 possessions and effective field goal percentage. Defensively, they sit seventh in both categories.
Conversely, Philly ranks 14th in offensive points per possession and 25th in eFG%. A majority of their shot attempts come from beyond the arc and at the rim, but Minnesota is well-equipped to counter that, ranking fifth in opponent field goal percentage at the rim and 13th in opponent three-point percentage.
Defensively, the Sixers have produced nothing impressive. They're essentially middle of the pack, ranking 15th in defensive eFG% and 17th in points per possession allowed.
Another notable discrepancy lies in transition play, where the Timberwolves once again hold an edge. Minnesota ranks seventh in transition points per play offensively, while Philly sits 20th defensively in that category.

76ers vs Timberwolves Best Bets

Kelly Oubre Jr. Over 4.5 Rebounds (-135)
Without the presence of both Rudy Gobert and Joel Embiid, the door opens for added rebounding opportunities for other forwards in this matchup. Kelly Oubre Jr. was the first player who stood out, especially considering where his prop line is currently posted.
He's already averaging five rebounds per game this season and has logged 35 minutes per contest in February, a noticeable uptick from last month, when he was playing under 30 minutes per game.
Expect Oubre to have a larger presence on the glass in this contest.
Dominick Barlow Over 4.5 Rebounds (-130)
The same applies to Dominick Barlow, who has stepped up his rebounding efforts throughout February. During this stretch, Barlow is averaging six rebounds per game, highlighted by a 16-rebound performance against the Clippers.
Similar to the outlook with Oubre, the absence of both Gobert and Embiid creates an opportunity to capitalize on modest rebounding lines for other forwards in this matchup.
