Saratoga: Wonder Wheel Vulnerable Spinaway Favorite cover

Sunday's Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga appears to have a vulnerable favorite. Wonder Wheel is 3-1 on the line but has plenty of competition in the 2 year old turf race.

Saratoga- Race 1

Post: 12:35 PM ET; $88k Maiden Special Weight going 5 1/2 furlongs on turf; Entries: 16

#13 TWENTY SIX BLACK (4-1) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection.
#11 DISARMED (2-1) goes out for the team of Clement and Prat following a decent debut effort.
#2 BOBBY THE TANK (5-2) is well bred for this spot.
#5 CURLY LARRY AND MO (7-2) comes into the race in good form.

Saratoga- Race 2

#3 HAPPY FARM (7-5) looks to be the class of the field. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
#2 GREELEY AND BEN (2-1) seems to fit well enough here.
#4 HERO TIGER (5-1) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
#1 BIG ENGINE (10-1) is a price horse and runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.

#6 ATHWAAQ (8-1) looks best here. She should be part of the early pace in this spot.
#2 STATE CROWN (7-2) should be competitive in this spot. She looks to be the class of the field.
#3 BLUE ATLAS (5-2) should be competitive in this spot. She gets Jose Ortiz in the irons.
#4 FOREVER DREAMING (4-1) has races good enough to beat this group.

#5 COUSTEAU (5-2) shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance.
#4 CHARGER (6-1) appears to be a major player in this race. He goes out for the Rice barn and gets Lezcano in the irons.
#10 AMPERSAND (7-2) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
#2 CRITICAL THREAT (9-2) should be competitive in this spot based on the previous tries at the distance.

#6 SHERIFF BIANCO (8-5) is the top pick. He has to be respected going out for the combination of Rice and Ortiz.
#8 ATHENRY (5-2) could be in with a shot in this race. He has races good enough to beat this group.
#1 GOLQUIST (7-2) should be part of the early pace in this spot.
#2 COURAGEOOUS OH LA (12-1) is a price horse and seems to fit well enough here.

#3 ST. BENEDICTS PREP (4-1) should improve off the first start and should be competitive in this spot.
#8 MY BETSY (6-1) gets the 2nd start after hitting the board on debut.
#5 STUNNINGLY (8-1) goes out 2nd time for the Asmussen barn and gets Ortiz in the irons.

#2 FREYDIS THE RED (9-2) should take a step forward and has the right running style for the race.
#4 FREE LOOK (3-1) ran a debut that put her squarely in the mix.
#3 LA MAZEL (5-1) earned a solid speed figure in the first start and should look to improve here.
#1A PALLOTTA SISTERS (6-1) goes out for the 2nd start after a solid debut effort.

#1 PIECE OF MY HEART (7-2) should be competitive in this spot. She has been good at the 6 furlong distance.
#7 DEALING JUSTICE (8-1) may benefit from a hot pace up front.
#6 PALM COTTAGE (9-5) seems to fit well enough here.

#1A CATCH THAT PARTY (2-1) should be sitting in the second tier of runners and looking to make one well timed run at the leaders.
#10 CITIZEN K (10-1) is a price horse who shouldn't have trouble with the 1 1/16 mile distance.
#4 TIMBUKTU (6-1) should be competitive in this spot. He has races that fit with these runners.
#6 LORD FLINTSHIRE (6-1) has races good enough to beat this group.

#3 LA VICTORIA (3-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
#6 JOCOSITY (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. She makes sense on speed figures and comes into the race in good form.
#2 SUCCULENT (7-2) fit well enough with these.
#7 ARISAEMA (6-1) has run some really solid races of late.

#1 KALING (7-2) should improve off the first start and should be competitive in this spot. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
#9 WONDER WHEEL (3-1) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.

#1A JET SET JULIET (1-1) is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
#10 ROZ (10-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
