Penn National doesn't often take the racing spotlight. However, Friday's card features 2 quality stakes races. The 6 furlong dirt stakes will go off as races 5 and 6 of the 8 race card.

Penn National is owned by Hollywood Gaming and Casino which also owns several other racetracks including Charles Town.

The track includes a 1 mile dirt oval and a turf course which sits inside of the main track. The biggest race at Penn National is the Penn Mile held each and every year. It is the track's only graded stakes race during the meet.

• #2 BEREN (4-1) has a really strong power rating according Brisnet. These ratings can be extremely dangerous at a dirt sprint.
• #10 PICTOR (10-1) may get a really good pace scenario and is a threat to hit the board at a fat price.
