Del Mar- Race 1
Post: 2:00 PM PT; $30k Maiden Claiming going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 10
#2 GOLDEN HALO (5-1) gets the top selection and is well bred for this spot.
#6 BOISTEROUSLY IRISH (5-1) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.
#3 LIVING WITH AUTISM (8-1) debuts here and has solid pedigree for this spot.
#7 SQUARE FOOTAGE (4-1) should improve off the first start and shouldn't have trouble with the 5 1/2 furlong distance.
#1 DANCING DANA (7-2) looks best here. She projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
#11 THE GREAT HAYNES (5-1) may benefit from a hot pace up front.
#8 D'S LOVELY SOPHIA (8-1) should be competitive in this spot going out for the Palma barn with Bravo in the irons.
#6 ICONIC SKY (4-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 5 furlong distance.
Selections: 1 – 11- 8 – 6
Del Mar- Race 10
Post: 6:37 PM PT; $125k California Thoroughbred Breeders' Association S. going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 10
#2 ABSOLUTELY ZERO (8-5) gets the top selection. She has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
#10 E Z PHARIS (6-1) isn't without hope. She runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here. This one makes sense on speed figures.
#1 LOV U MEAN IT (15-1) is a price horse and is probably best to put underneath on most tickets. She has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
#6 CHISMOSA (12-1) goes out for the Deleon barn and gets Payeras in the saddle.
#12 OPRY (5-2) is the top pick. He has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here. This one looks to be the class of the field.
#14 MOODY JIM (4-1) should be competitive in this spot. He makes sense on speed figures. This one shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance.
#7 TARTINI (7-2) may benefit from a hot pace up front.
#5 EAST RAND (8-1) could get the right setup in this race.
Selections: 12- 14- 7 – 5
