Jockey Club Gold Cup Saratoga Closing Saturday Feature cover

The final Saturday at Saratoga features three stakes races. The Saranac (race 3), The Flower Bowl (race 10), and the Jockey Club Gold Cup (race 11) will highlight the card.

Saratoga- Race 1

Post: 12:05 PM ET; $105k Maiden Special Weight going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 16

#14 TORIGO (6-1) should improve off the first start and gets the top selection.
#13 CERTIFIED LOVERBOY (5-1) goes out for the Handal barn and gets Rosario in the irons.
#12 CLASSIC CREATION (8-1) ran well on debut and should get better here.
#3 ARI GOLD (2-1) debuts here and is well respected for Todd Pletcher.

Saratoga- Race 2

Post: 12:37 PM ET; $105k Maiden Special Weight going 7 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 9

#7 POWERFUL (2-1) should improve off the first start and goes out for Steve Asmussen.
#1 FULL MOON MADNESS (7-2) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
#8 UPGRADE (4-1) goes out for the combination of Pletcher and Saez.
#2 TAPIT'S CONQUEST (8-1) debuts here for Brad Cox.

Saratoga- Race 3

#4 TIWANAKU (4-1) has races good enough to beat this group.
#1 AUSSIE PRIDE (6-1) makes sense on speed figures.
#3 SEAL BEACH (12-1) is a price horse and appears to competitive in this group from a good draw.
#7 PERCEIVED (8-1) seems to fit well enough here.

#3 ANNAPOLIS (2-5) gets the top selection. He looks to be the class of the field.
#1 CELESTIAL CITY (3-1) has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
#5 FUERTEVENTURA (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
#4 ETHEREAL ROAD (10-1) is a price horse and comes into the race in really good form.

Saratoga- Race 5

#11 MISTER CHAIRMAN (7-2) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
#8 MONTATHAM (8-1) will likely have a lot to do in the lane, but could get up with a competitive run.
#5 KING MOONRACER (8-1) makes sense on speed figures.
#7 CUSTOM BOBBY'S (6-1) get Ortiz in the saddle.

#4 MO'S TREASURE (15-1) is a price horse and has races good enough to beat this group.
#9 CHAMPIONS DREAM (5-2) debuts here and has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
#2 MINDTAP (7-2) debuts and is well bred for this spot.
#3 JUNGFRAU (10-1) is a price horse with solid blood lines given the price.

#5 ELITE POWER (5-2) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
#1A AMUNDSON (3-1) appears to be a major player in this race and should be relatively forward.
#1 GREELEY AND BEN (3-1) has the top overall power rating in the group.
#2 HIGHER STANDARD (5-1) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.

#10 CRUPI (5-2) should improve off the first start and has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
#3 ARTHUR'S RIDE (7-2) had a solid debut and should take a step forward here.
#6 ROCKET CAN (9-2) got a good foundation in the last race.
#1 INSTANT COFFEE (10-1) is a price horse and gets Dylan Davis aboard. He tends to be aggressive which is vital from the rail.

#2 ANALYZE IT (5-2) looks best here. He has races good enough to beat this group.
#10 EYES ON TARGET (7-2) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
#9 OCEAN ATLANTIQUE (6-1) seems to fit well enough here.
#5 GRADED ON A CURVE (8-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one could get the right setup in this race.

#4 WAR LIKE GODDESS (2-5) looks to be the class of the field.

#2 FLANIGAN'S COVE (12-1) is a price horse that has run some solid races recently.

#12 COMMANDER COMPTON (10-1) is a price horse and has to be respected going out for the combination of Bauer and Saez.
#2 IRON LION IN ZION (20-1) has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
