#7 COMPRESSED ENERGY (9-5) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & power rating. This one drops in class and cuts back in distance.
#4 PASSING IMAGE (3-1) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions. This one goes out for Aaron West who is 20% off this type of layoff.
#2 JUSTA DOLL (6-1) figures to be part of the early pace and has to be considered a danger. She's been close at this level before.

Horseshoe Indianapolis Race 2
Post: 3:00 PM ET; Purse: $20,000 Maiden Claiming, 5 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 9
#8 BARONNE (6-1) has breeding that says this one should be a major player. The horse is dropping for Tom Amoss who is 26% maiden special to claimer. He was a speed and fade against tougher last out. This one feels like a steal.
#3 NOBEL (2-1) has been improving and will give bettors a chance to see if the Gulfstream tapeta translates to Indy as well as Turfway has.
#2 RONNIE'S VICE (6-1) merits consideration in this spot given edges in stamina & pace numbers.
#9 RACARINO (5-2) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed figures and recent form.
#6 INTEND (8-1) was at one point was fast enough to best this group early. Maybe he can find that again today.
#7 BEIRUT BEAUTY (3-1) is in with a great chance based on the horse's stamina & power rating.
#5 SWEET GINGER (20-1) set the pace in the last race on synthetic which can be unkind to front runners. I like this one on the cut back to be dangerous on the front end.
#3 CAIRO DRIVER (6-1) gets Deshawn Parker in the saddle who is winning at a 16% clip in 2022.
#4 DIAMOND LYDIAMARIE (6-1) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & form.
#7 AMERICAN PURE (4-1) has been running on synthetic but has improved in each of the first three starts for Brad Cox. Pedroza Jr. is in the irons and he was a mainstay at the top of the jocks standings last season.
#5 POLAR WIND (3-1) should be competitive based on the overall power rating which has it tops in the group.
#1 RED FLAG ALERT (5-2) has been declining in form but those numbers are still better than a lot of these.
#3 SLIM SLOW SLIDER (4-1) is getting better and has some of the best early pace numbers.
#10 LEXI SUN (5-2) was dramatically improving in each of her first three starts. She has permission to move forward as a three year old and that could make her tough to beat.
#6 LASHES (12-1) was close last out at the level and now cuts back in distance which may encourage a bit more speed.
#8 SAVEDTHEBESTFORLAST (6-1) has the late closing kick if the pace gets crazy hot up front.
#7 KISSES SO SWEET (12-1) is a trainer play as Klopp is dangerous in these races. The horse has shown speed in the morning and maybe can show some here as well.
#3 KAELY'S SISTER (7-2) has a great shot in the race given the speed & class.
#10 BELLARIFIC (12-1) is proven as a good bet to at least hit the board under today's distance and surface conditions.
#6 BIG IF TRUE (12-1) has been in some of the toughest races of these ones. The figures are a bit light, but a little softer field could wake this one up.
#7 WILD TAPIT (10-1) will get Pompell in the saddle. The last 9 rides he's given this one have all been check cashers with 1 win, 1 second, 3 thirds and 4 fourths.
Post: 5:30 PM ET; Purse: $36,000 Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 10
#8 CIBOLO (2-1) put up a solid number against a good field on debut. A little improvement here could put this on in the winner's circle.
#1 ROOKWOOD (8-1) is in with a great chance based on the horse's class & form.
#7 FOR MOMA (5-1) gets first time blinkers for Greenhill who is 13% with the move. Parker staying aboard is a good sign.
#6 PARTY BOY FLOYD (15-1) will hit the track for the first time for a trainer who connects at 16% with debut runners. The dam has thrown 3 previous winners in four foals.

Post: 6:00 PM ET; Purse: $34,000 Maiden Special Weight, 5 Furlongs on Dirt; Entries: 14
#9 VIOLENT OUTBURST (5-2) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & race flow.
#8 MI CRESCENDO (5-1) is a Bayern off spring. The sire throws debut winners at 18%. Contreras is also 17% with first time starters.
#11 PEACH COBBLER (4-1) is a breeding play though the 11 post is a tough draw for such an inexperienced runner.
#7 DREAM STREAK (12-1) is class dropping, cut backing, and surface changing. With some of the top connections on the circuit I'd say that's worth a stab.
