Races were rained off the turf at Gulfstream Park on Friday. The decision was largely made to save the course for Saturdays Texas Glitter Stakes.

Gulfstream Park Race 9

Post: 5:10 PM ET; Purse: $75,000 Texas Glitter S., 5 Furlongs on Turf; Entries: 7

#6 LUCCI (8-5) has a great shot in the race given the ideal race flow for the horse's running style & the recent competition this one's been running against.
#2 BUENO BUENO (10-1) could have the stamina to come rolling late and create great value in the exotics.
#5 HIGH FRONT (5-2) has proven good at the distance, but does draw inside of the favorite and may be more likely to encounter trouble from there.
#7 BIG INVASION (2-1) has the speed figures to be good here and does get the advantage of drawing outside of the main competition.

#1 GLORY AND VICTORY (5-1) will likely have the stamina to outlast these in the final jumps of the race. Sometimes these races are wars of attrition
#8 SPAN OF CONTROL (6-1) is worth a look here given edges in pace numbers & power rating.
#5 INDEED INDEED (12-1) could get a perfect pace scenario today.
#4 DANGER RANGER (5-2) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & record at the distance.

#2 TOWN CLASSIC (2-1) looks tough to beat here given the edge in a number of key categories including speed & class.
#1 NO COMMISSION (5-2) should be in the right spot early to give this horse a chance to get the job done.
#5 ALLEGEDLY PERFECT (7-2) comes out of the Carlos David barn.

#8 FLY THE W (6-1) should be competitive based on the overall power rating which has it tops in the group.
#1 DR. SHANE (5-2) is a major player in today's race edging the field in several key handicapping factors including speed & pace numbers.
#5 HEZA KITTEN (9-2) is a late runner for Leparoux who can give some really nice ground saving rides in these competitive spots.
#6 BORU (4-1) comes into the race signaling a big performance in the near future.

#5 HEY HOMBRE (3-1) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & form.
#4 CIANGO (8-1) may be the runner in here with the most room to improve.

#1 JAZLA (9-5) this one is a big of a specialist at this quirky distance.
#4 URANIUM (4-1) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & the projected flow of the race.
#6 DOUBLE PLAY KING (20-1) has a chance to spice things up underneath though a victory doesn't seem likely in this spot.

#6 MYSTIC EYES (3-1) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & form.

#4 ARTOS (10-1) should be competitive based on the overall power rating which has it tops in the group.
#5 AMERICAN STARLET (4-1) is trained by Wesley Ward who is known for early speed on the turf.

#7 MY CRAZY NEIGHBOR (12-1) is bred to love this spot. Let's take a shot and back up the brinks truck here.
#5 BOURBON READY (7-5) has the best speed figures of the crop thus far.
#2 AWAY FROM HOME (5-2) should be in the right spot early to give this horse a chance to get the job done.
#4 WIN NO JOKE (30-1) has hit the board at this distance before so might be worth a look underneath.

#10 VELOCE (3-1) gets hall of famer Javier Castellano in the saddle. He's been riding the synthetic surface and teams up with Marty Drexler who is always dangerous around these parts.
#5 EXPONENTIAL (7-2) should be competitive today based on the horse's speed & form.
#3 MACK (6-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & pace numbers.
#8 OCEAN RIDE (6-1) seems like the type you may be able to get close early and say a prayer that he holds on for a piece.

#3 HILARIOUS AFFAIR (20-1) gets Edwin Gonzalez and he has been a good bet when he teams up with Mark Casse of late.
#8 CELESTIAL CITY (9-2) will likely be coming home late for Shug and Castellano.
