The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club closes out the week of racing with the Del Mar Futurity. The grade 1 will feature 2o23 Kentucky Derby hopefuls.

Del Mar- Race 1

Post: 1:00 PM PT; $30k Maiden Claiming going 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 13

#3 SAPADILLA (6-1) has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
#9 SO SOFTLY (4-1) makes sense on speed figures and is well bred for this spot.
#7 GOLDEN HALO (12-1) is a price horse and has solid early pace figures in a race that looks to lack a ton of front running speed.
#4 CHARLOTTE HARBOR (8-1) has to be respected going out for the combination of Cerin and Rispoli.

Del Mar- Race 2

#6 HOLDEN THE LUTE (2-1) has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip.
#7 PERFECT FLIGHT (5-2) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
#1 STREET RUCKUS (4-1) comes into the race in really good form. This one has races good enough to beat this group.
#4 LORD DRAGON (10-1) is a price horse and has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

Del Mar- Race 3

Post: 2:00 PM PT; $80k Maiden Special Weight going 1 mile on turf; Entries: 14

#3 RUSSELLS HUSTLE (4-1) should improve off the first start and looks best here.
#10 KID AZTECA (7-2) has hit the board under these conditions before.
#9 REINCARNATE (5-2) debuts here and has to be respected going out for the combination of Baffert and Velazquez.
#14 COLONEL VARGO (12-1) is a price and has pace figures to suggest this one could outrun the odds if he can avoid the wide trip.

Del Mar- Race 4

Post: 2:30 PM PT; $30k Claiming going 6 furlongs on dirt; Entries: 12

#11 SO IT WOULD SEEM (3-1) will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.
#12 DOUBLE FANTASY (10-1) projects to sit mid pack and come with one run.
#2 MIDNIGHT'S GIRL (5-1) has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
#3 SALLY STANFORD (6-1) has races good enough to beat this group.

#7 CARRIZO SPRINGS (5-1) should improve off the first start and is the top pick. He has the pedigree to be a major player in this spot.
#10 SINGLE TRACK MIND (4-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.
#11 REXFORD (2-1) shouldn't have trouble with the 1 mile distance after a productive debut.
#2 GAS ME UP (3-1) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.

#11 DOINITTHEHARDWAY (9-5) should improve off the first start and looks best here. The breeding makes a ton of sense here.
#3 SPICYBUG (7-2) has already hit the board in a dirt sprint and should take a step forward here.
#2 PRINCESS BETTINA (10-1) is a price horse and should be competitive in this spot. She fits well enough here.
#1 DIAMONDS DANZING (5-1) runs evenly and looks to get a very fair pace scenario here.

#12 ATOMIC DROP (4-1) has races good enough to beat this group.
#1 FORGIVING SPIRIT (7-2) should be part of the early pace in this spot.
#11 IN VRONSKY STYLE (12-1) is a price horse and could be in with a shot in this race.
#6 WHO'S CANDY (4-1) has proven to be able to handle these conditions in previous starts.

#7 CENSORSHIP (4-1) is the top pick. She could be a dangerous threat to get loose on the front end.
#8 PRINCESS ADALEIGH (7-2) should improve off the first start and is well bred for this spot.
#6 BROCADE (10-1) is a price horse and may be asked to take advantage if no one wants to hit the front.
#10 TOO BOSSY (6-1) isn't without hope. She seems to fit well enough here.

#1 AH JEEZ (8-1) looks best here. He has races good enough to beat this group. This one has really consistent pace figures which should work well in a moderately paced race.
#2 WOUND UP (12-1) is a price horse and should be part of the early pace in this spot.
#4 DON'TTHINKJUSTDOIT (5-1) should improve off the first start. The debut speed figure was solid.
#9 PACKS A WAHLOP (8-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one will likely be in the first flight of runners and should be in with a chance late.

#8 HAVNAMELTDOWN (4-1) gets the top selection. He shouldn't have trouble with the 7 furlong distance. This one has been really solid in recent starts and should be ready to run a big one here.
#7 CAVE ROCK (6-5) should improve off the first start and appears to be a major player in this race. The debut makes him competitive and improvement is likely.
#2 AGENCY (12-1) is a price horse that feels like the kind to outrun the odds here.
#9 THE BIG WAM (10-1) has been running against some really talented young runners.

Del Mar- Race 11

Post: 6:00 PM PT; $43k Starter Allowance going 1 1/16 miles on turf; Entries: 14

#3 FLINT STROLL (4-1) is the top pick. He has the top overall power rating in the group. This one looks to be the class of the field.
#7 NATIONAL ROAD (3-1) will be rolling late and has a good closing kick that could get the job done here.
#9 HALFBARBERBINGIE (15-1) makes sense on speed figures. This one has to be respected going out for the combination of Marquez and Smith.
#1 CAISSON (12-1) could be in with a shot in this race. He has tactical speed and can sit just off the leaders for a stalk and pounce trip. This one seems to fit well enough here.
