• #1A DARK STORM (5-2) is in solid form and is paired with another logical horse. Two for the price of one is never a bad thing.
• #3 HIEROGLYPHICS (15-1) has on outsiders chance but is probably best to get up for a piece.

• #8 HAMMERIN AAMER (12-1) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance & form.
• #3 THE REDS (6-1) looks to have to have kept the best company in the previous starts.

The Soaring Softly Stakes is the lone stakes race on the card and is Grade 3 event.

• #9 DERRYNANE (7-2) merits consideration in this spot given edges in speed & class.
• #8 HAUGHTY (5-2) has a great foundation and could carry the speed all the way to the finish. This one may just have the best late kick.
• #5 ANADOR (20-1) will be mid pack early and could look to get the first jump on the closers.
• #13 BABY MAN (4-1) will have to overcome a wide post, but will go for the front and may be tough to reel in. New York turf racing notoriously lacks pace.

• #6 TWO DOWN (9-2) is worth a look here given edges in record at the distance. This is another with solid pedigree to succeed in this spot.
