Fanatics Betting and Gaming has secured entry into the Missouri market through a major partnership. Under a multi-year agreement, Fanatics will launch mobile sports betting in Missouri using Boyd Gaming's license.

Moreover, it will operate branded retail sportsbooks at key Ameristar properties. These include Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort & Spa St. Charles.

The deal positions Fanatics to debut both online and retail sportsbooks when sports betting goes live statewide in December 2025.

Fanatics Competing in a Crowded Online Sportsbooks Market

The Show-Me State is shaping up as a growing market for online sportsbooks. Fanatics now joins other operators like DraftKings, Circa, FanDuel, bet365, BetMGM, and others.

All will offer tethered or untethered access through local partnerships. With this deal, Fanatics becomes the 24th state to host an active online sportsbook presence nationwide.

In addition, Fanatics promises up to 10% FanCash back on every bet. It also offers a Fair Play injury-protection policy and exclusive fan experiences. These features aim to attract Missouri sports bettors immediately.

Furthermore, the Ameristar venues deliver strong retail exposure. Ameristar Kansas City sits on the Missouri River and holds nearly 140,000 sq ft of gaming space. Ameristar St. Charles draws over 5 million annual visitors and anchors the greater St. Louis area.

Fanatics' entry reflects a strategic blend of online sportsbooks expansion and retail footprint. In contrast, the Missouri market still lacks legal online casinos.

However, this early move in sports betting may pave the way for broader online gambling in the future.

Missouri Online Casino Market Still Lagging

Meanwhile, the current Missouri online casino market remains limited. No real-money online casinos operate legally. Instead, residents can only access social or sweepstakes casinos.

While sports betting advances, lawmakers remain cautious about expanding into online casino gaming. Industry observers suggest casino legalization could take longer, given legislative resistance and market concerns.

Regulators expect sports betting to launch on December 1, 2025, pending Missouri Gaming Commission approval. Fanatics' mobile app will be available on iOS and Android platforms. The retail sportsbooks will feature Fanatics' in-house trading technology and unique promotions.
