<p>With a few weeks left in the regular season, the NFC East appears to be all but wrapped up for the Dallas Cowboys. But a Sunday night win over Washington will squash any remaining hopes that the Philadelphia Eagles have of making things interesting. </p>
<p>Washington is out of the NFC East race but is not totally out of the NFL playoff race despite Tuesday’s loss to the Eagles. If they can take their final three games and finish 9-8, they could still make the playoffs.</p>

<p>Prior to the season, it was thought the Washington defense would be among the best in the league and that it might even be good enough to carry the offense. Even when healthy that has not been the case this season. And they are not healthy right now. </p>
<p>Dallas and Green Bay have already locked in their participation in the playoffs. The Packers are at the top of the NFC with the Cowboys and Buccaneers in pursuit. There is still a lot at stake for the Cowboys, even if they lock up the NFC East this week.</p>
<p>The Cowboys have been among the best at navigating COVID this season. In fact, given where we are in the season, their health situation is actually pretty good. It might be just the thing that lets them hold onto one of those top two seeds in the NFC.</p>

<h4 id="76ssh">Dallas Cowboys 31, Washington Football Team 14 (Best Bet: UNDER 47)</h4>
<p>These teams met a couple of weeks ago with Dallas winning 27-20 at Washington. Dallas was up 24-0 at one point before letting Washington get back into the game. </p>
<p>With the teams moving to Dallas, it is hard to imagine Washington bridging the gap much on the road. That game saw starting QB Taylor Heinicke go down and be replaced by Kyle Allen. Neither of them had success and neither of them is playing this week. </p>
<p>Garrett Gilbert was not a disaster last week, but this is going to be just his third NFL start. Unless Dallas makes a lot of mistakes it is hard to see him having much success. </p>
<p>I am looking for this one to go under because the Cowboys should be able to limit Washington’s offense fairly easily. They can load up on a mediocre run game and dare Gilbert to beat them. Dallas has a very aggressive defense and can really put the heat on QBs with rookie terror Micah Parsons. </p>
<p>Playing with the lead they can be very methodical on offense and emphasize the running game. The only thing that worries me on the under is the real potential for defensive scores on either side, as each team had a defensive touchdown in their meeting in Week 14.</p>
