<p>The second game of the series between the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels will once again feature the most dynamic player in baseball, Shohei Ohtani.</p>
<p>The Angles were victorious in Game 1 of the series, holding the Athletics to 1 run and leading the entire way through the game. Starter José Suarez for the Angels, went 5 innings, only allowing 5 hits to an A’s team that has been anything but productive this season.</p>
<p>Oakland ranks dead last in almost every major offensive category, and their pitching hasn’t been anything to write home about. This will be their 9th meeting with the Angels this season, and their record against sits at 2-6.</p>

<p>Ohtani is always dangerous when he takes the mound. However against Oakland he has had very average numbers compared to a lot of other teams.</p>
<p>His career record against the A’s sits at 2-2 through 6 starts. He also has a 3.55 ERA with 33 innings pitched. His K/BB ratio sits at 41/13, but his WHIP has stayed consistently low at 0.939.</p>
<p>Let’s not forget that Ohtani doesn’t just pitch though. His batting numbers against the A’s are much more impressive, and he is making up for the average pitching numbers with his offensive production.</p>
<p>Ohtani is a career .278 hitter against Oakland with a .353 on base percentage. He has launched 13 home runs against the A’s which is the second most against any opponent he has faced. The only team he has more long balls against is the Texas Rangers with 14.</p>
<p>He has not pitched against the A’s this season, but he has been in the lineup all 8 times as a hitter. This season he is batting .313 with 10 hits against Oakland, second only again to the Texas Rangers where he has 11 of his hits.</p>
<p>All in all, watch out for when Ohtani is at the plate, as he is expected to have another solid day. He went 1-for-4 with a double last night in the win, but he is more than capable of putting up even larger numbers.</p>

<p>There isn’t much value in taking the Angels to win outright tonight. They are -235 and it will take way too. much of an investment to get a return out of it. Instead we focus on the run line for our best bet.</p>
<p>The Angels -1.5 is a much more reasonable -105 at <a href="https://pa.betrivers.com/?page=sportsbook&amp;l=RiversPittsburgh&amp;group=1000093211&amp;type=prematch#home">BetUS</a>. There is more room for a decent return with less risk. Ohtani should be able to bounce back from his most recent loss as he faces the worst team offensively in the league.</p>
<p>Ohtani should also feast at the plate in his home ballpark, looking to add to his 10 total hits against the A’s this season. The ball will be flying around the yard for Shohei, and the Angels will be happy to grab a series victory from a team they honestly have no business losing to.</p>
