<p>Gervonta Davis is one of the hottest prospects in world boxing, and the 27-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, is considered the future of the lightweight division. </p>
<p>He has the skills, strength and size to continue to move through the weight categories as his career progresses, but he&#x27;s currently determined to dominate in the lightweight division.</p>
<p>Despite standing at just 5ft 5inches tall, Davis packs a punch, bringing a 93% KO average into this latest bout, with 24 of his 26 wins coming inside the distance. </p>
<p>He is the number one ranked lightweight in the United States and globally, with Australia&#x27;s George Kambosos Jr thought to be the main danger to that dominance.</p>

<p>That points win for Davis came in Los Angeles in December of last year, with the champion retaining his title with margins of two rounds, two rounds and four rounds.</p>
<h2 id="fie1s">Rolly is unbeaten in 14</h2>
<p>The betting would suggest Rolando Romero is a mere opponent, just another ambitious fighter that will prove to be a name on his opponent&#x27;s stunning CV. But that isn&#x27;t the case, Romero is here to win, and he has the talent to pull off an upset.</p>
<p>The fighter from Las Vegas brings a spotless 14-fight record with 12 wins coming by knockout since his debut in December 2016. </p>
<p>That winning streak has elevated Rolly to seventh in the US and 19th in the world, but both will change if he wins on Saturday.</p>

<p>We could see both big hitters go on the attack early and aim to blast the other out, or we could see both respect the power of the other and remain cautious during the early rounds.</p>
<p>Focusing on Rolando&#x27;s last three bouts, we note they have all gone into the second half of the bout, with round seven being the earliest he has stopped an opponent. </p>
<p>This is the biggest fight of his career, and we expect the underdog to play it safe in the opening rounds before growing into the contest and targeting a knockout in the later rounds.</p>
<h2 id="9cg8g">Follow the form and back Davis to dominate</h2>
<p>When making our predictions on this fight, we like to stick to the form of both men, but as we intend to stick with the champion, we pay special attention to Tank&#x27;s recent form. </p>
<p>He has a KO average in the 90s, which will encourage many bettors to go for another stoppage win. And looking at his recent fights, we note each of his last two bouts have travelled at least 11 rounds, with his last four all heading into the second half. </p>
<p>Sticking with the same period, we note that three of his last four bouts have gone 11 rounds or more, and that&#x27;s worth remembering when you settle on your final picks.</p>
<p>We know Davis is the hot favourite to win this fight, and we know he is a knockout artist, so there will be more than a few boxing bettors siding with a Davis KO/TKO win. We wouldn&#x27;t put anyone off that approach, but if you are looking for value, other options are better.</p>
<p>Take a chance on Davis to win by knockout in rounds 7-12 or close the distance even further and back the American in to win in the final quarter, stopping his opponent in round 10-12. The smaller the bracket, the better the odds offered by your bookie.</p>
