The Sports betting world has exploded over the past few years, as it has become more and more widely available across the United States.
As of this writing, there are 22 States in the US where can bet on any major sporting event, chillin’ on your couch at home, from the convenience of an App on your smart phone.
If you are lucky enough to live in one of these states, you most likely have options in which App you want to use and which one is better for your specific needs.
On this page, we will look at the major Apps widely available in the US and their main features and you can decide which one is the best for you.
The three criteria we will grade and address is:
- Visual Appeal/Ease
- Functionality and Number of Features
- Overall Grade
Ok, with that being said, Here are the Best Sportsbook Apps!
BetOnline Sportsbook
Let’s get started with one of the most popular and widely used sportsbook apps in the US.
BetOnline is one of the most user friendly sportsbook apps in the market.
Visual Appeal/Ease
This is where BetOnline is far and away above the other apps widely available.
From the layout of the app, with easy to read graphics and incredibly functional menus.
The App never crashes and is incredibly easy to navigate. By far the best app for ease of use.
Rating: 5/5
Functionality and Number of Features
BetOnline has the most Same Game Parlay options, with thousands of variations for making all different types of parlays in every league available.
Along with the most flexible parlay features, BetOnline offers every standard betting feature and has a wide variety of leagues and sports available.
The only negative we could find was the lack of availability for Same Game Parlays in the Shots on goal market in the NHL.
That is the only ‘SGP’ that isn’t offered and because of that, we subtracted a small 0.5 point.
Rating: 4.5/5
Overall
All in all, BetOnline is the best overall app available with the most amount of flexibility and has the easiest to use platform.
It is available in 18 states and will be coming to more states as it becomes more legal in the US.
It is the highest rated App we have reviewed so far.
Rating: 4.5/5
Draftkings Sportsbook
The 2nd Highest Rated App is DraftKings and it has plenty to like on its sleek platform.
Draft Kings has many great features and is a great options for bettors in the states where it is available.
Visual Appeal/Ease
Visually, Draft Kings is quite easy to use but does have a few disadvantages.
The layout is a bit more complicated to use in comparison to BetOnline, for example, but it is just as easy to use as it’s main competitor.
Rating: 4/5
Functionality and Number of Features
Draftkings has almost all the same features available as BetOnline, but doesn’t quite have the same amount of Same Game Parlay features.
It has all the single, parlay, teaser and overall bet options you look for in a sportsbook app and is easy to use.
Rating: 4.5/5
Overall
All in all, Draftkings is a fantastic choice for your betting needs, with all the standard features needed for a great App betting experience.
It has the more complex features as well, with many Same Game Parlay options, but doesn’t have quite as many as some of the other Apps.
All in all, DraftKings as a favorite and is worth a download!
Rating: 4/5
Bovada Sportsbook
Bovada is another fantastic App, with quite a few unique features and promotions that make it stand out from some of the others.
It is available in 16 states and will be moving into more states in the coming months and years.
There are a few unique features that Bovada offers that make it one of the best Apps for your sports betting needs.
Visual Appeal/Ease
It is not the easiest app to use, in comparison to BetOnline and Draftkings.
Parts of the app are a little bit more hard to find and not as easily available due to the menu options.
In the aesthetic department, it does check all the boxes, as it is sleek and nicely laid out.
Overall, It is not our favorite lay out but is visually appealing and a pleasant experience to scroll through.
Rating: 4/5
Functionality and Number of Features
Here is where Bovada has a couple features that other apps don’t offer.
As I mentioned above, Bovada is the only app that allows you to Single Game parlay Shots on Goal in the NHL market.
They also have profit boost bonuses available almost every single day, which makes it incredibly user-friendly.
On the negative side, Bovada doesn’t have as many Parlaying options as BetOnline and Draftkings.
If that feature ends up being updated to the capabilities of BetOnline and Draftkings, Bovada might be the best available App on the market.
Rating: 4/5
Overall
All in all, Bovada has features totally unique to its App and that gives it a leg up and make it worth a sign up.
It also offers the other standard features that the other major apps offer as well, so it is definitely one fo the best Apps available for your sports betting needs.
Rating: 4.5/5
