<p>I know, I know, the PAC-12 isn&#8217;t around anymore, but when the No. 15 USC Trojans take on the No. 7 Oregon Ducks, there&#8217;s certainly some nostalgia in the air. Especially with this game happening in late November with some serious College Football Playoff implications on the line. People are talking. There&#8217;s whispers that Oregon isn&#8217;t all that deserving of being in the CFP this season. Dan Lanning and the Ducks could shut up the haters with a win over the Trojans, or could play their way out of the playoff with a loss. Let&#8217;s get into our favorite picks and figure out what&#8217;s going to happen in Eugene on Saturday.</p>

<p>Oregon sits at 9-1 with their lone loss coming at the hands of Indiana at home. Not a bad loss to have as your season&#8217;s only blemish, but what about their wins? The Ducks have a ranked win over then No. 3 Penn State on the road, which hasn&#8217;t looked all that tough later in the season. They barely escaped then No. 20 Iowa on the road, but the Hawkeyes now sit with four losses on the year. This is Oregon&#8217;s last chance to wow the committee.</p>
<p>On the other sideline, USC could sneak their way into a playoff conversation with a win. The Trojans are 8-2 on the season, losing only to Notre Dame in South Bend and to then No. 22 Illinois on the road on a last second field goal. They aren&#8217;t having to leave the time zone in this travel spot, and you could definitely argue they are overall more tested than the Ducks. Will that come into play this Saturday in Eugene?</p>

<p>Both teams have kind of coasted their way to this top 15 ranking in the standings. It is very unlikely either Indiana or Ohio State lose, meaning the Ducks and Trojans don&#8217;t have much of a shot into the Big Ten Championship. But both could play for an at large bid in the College Football Playoff.</p>
<p>As it currently stands, Oregon would be in, but USC would not. That could change if the Trojans pull off this double digit upset on the road.</p>

<h3>USC vs. Oregon Prediction: Oregon Wins, USC Covers, Over 59.5</h3>
<h3><a href="https://affiliates.bettingnews.com/register/betonline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Best Bet: USC/Oregon Over 59.5 (-105) BetOnline</a></h3>
<p>This is quite the high total, but I&#8217;ll bite on the over. The Trojans have been dealing with these high totals all season long, seeing a total of at least 60 five separate times this season, with only one below 50. Both teams are 5-5 to the over this season, but the Ducks have seen three of their four totals above 55 points go over. I&#8217;ll lean into that trend, thinking we will see some back and forth on Saturday.</p>
<p>The Trojans defense certainly has its issues. They are outside the top 50 in both yards per carry and yards per pass allowed, while ranking No. 42 in points per play allowed. The Trojans give up over four more points per game on the road than at home, allowing their hosts to score over 25.5. I see both teams being more than capable of putting up 30 on the scoreboard in this classic contest.</p>
<p>The Ducks have the No. 1 ranked rushing offense in the country in terms of yards per carry, so they should be able to blow up the USC defensive line any time they please. Oregon also leads the nation in the secondary, giving up just 4.9 yards per pass defensively. However, once teams get into the red zone, it&#8217;s over. The Ducks are bottom five in the country in red zone scoring percentage, giving up a touchdown over 90% of the time after they let their opponents within the 20 yard line. Both are top 10 in scoring and yards per game, so they should produce tons of offense for the fans.</p>
<p>Although it means little to this game, the last meeting saw 63 total points in 2023. Give me all the scores in Eugene.</p>
