<p>While this specific SEC matchup was supposed to have a lot more aura to it, the Volunteers and Gators still take the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday Night in the Swamp. Tennessee came in ranked No. 20 in the College Football Playoff rankings this past Tuesday, and despite them not really having a spot in the field of 12, they can play for a much better bowl game, and of course, pride. As for the Gators, that&#8217;s all they have, if there&#8217;s any left. Let&#8217;s dive into our favorite picks in this contest.</p>

<p>Over the summer you could&#8217;ve gotten the Volunteers catching 4.5 points on the road, but obviously that line has since vanished. It shows that there was a lot more hope for the Gators this football season, which again, has disappeared. Now they are four point home underdogs to a Volunteers team that has three really solid losses on their resume. Florida is 3-7 on the year and are eliminated from bowl contention. All they are playing for is their scholarships next season.</p>
<p>Tennessee comes in with not much more to play for. They are already bowl eligible and have the smallest sliver of a chance to make the CFP (it ain&#8217;t happening), but I trust Josh Heupel to keep his guys focused all the way through the finish line. The Volunteers close the season hosting Vanderbilt which would be another chance for a huge ranked win to impress the committee. But they need to win this one first, so their best shot is leaving no doubt on Saturday on the road.</p>

<p>The Volunteers&#8217; three losses include a three point overtime defeat at the hands of No. 6 Georgia, who is now No. 4. Tennessee melted down defensively in the second half. They were trumped by Alabama by 17 on the road, but the Tide are still a top 10 team at the moment. After that they lost to Oklahoma by six at home in a game where they out gained the Sooners by over 100 yards. The Sooners are currently No. 8 in the country. Three losses to three playoff teams isn&#8217;t that bad, and proves the Volunteers have what it takes to handle business elsewhere. Especially at the hands of this guy.</p>

<h3>Tennessee vs. Florida Prediction: Tennesse Wins and Covers, Over 57</h3>

<p>The Tennessee quarterback has cleared this line in just 5/10 games this season, but he&#8217;s done so in 4/6 SEC contests, including having 268 against Alabama. He averages 294 passing yards on 32 attempts per game, but those numbers skyrocket to 333 yards on 37 throws on the road. The Vols are top 10 in yards per pass and passing yards per game, and I expect Aguilar to soar over this number against a weak secondary.</p>
<p>The Gators might be able to keep it interesting for a while, which will make sure the Volunteers air it out. Florida&#8217;s secondary ranks No. 106 (bottom 30) in yards per pass allowed and are north of 90 in opponent completion percentage and passing yards allowed per game. Only two quarterbacks have gone over this number against Florida, but both went for 300, and most teams run the ball plenty because they blow the Gators out of the stadium. For some reason, I think they can keep this close enough to keep Aguilar throwing, something he&#8217;ll probably already do since the secondary unit is horrendous.</p>
