<p>Like I mentioned, this is a perfect promotion to get kids excited for this game. However they shouldn&#8217;t need any extra motivation as the Shockers are 15-9 on the season and 7-4 in the American Conference, sitting near the top of the standings. But they&#8217;ll have a tough test tonight against the South Florida Bulls who are 16-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play.</p>
<p>Now, these teams already met once and we saw a thrilling matchup, as the Shockers pulled off the road upset in overtime over the Bulls. Will South Florida get their revenge tonight? Or will a student section fueled by cheap light beer and fantastic chicken sammies give this team the extra push it needs to pull this off?</p>

<h3>South Florida vs. Wichita State Prediction: Wichita State Wins Outright, Over 159.5</h3>

<p>I jumped the gun and snagged -105 this morning so get a better line than I did. Regardless, the Shockers are going to shock the nation tonight. When these teams met in Tampa earlier this year, the Shockers were anywhere from 7.5 to 9 point underdogs, and they ended up winning outright. Doing some basic math, that means Wichita State should be catching about 4-6 points at home against this team.</p>
<p>The fact that it&#8217;s nearly a pick &#8217;em is a bit telling in my eyes, and I&#8217;ll back the hosts to get it done.</p>
<p>Wichita State is 15-8 against the spread this season and they are streaky. They opened up the season by covering six straight games, and have now covered in five of their last six. Sure, the Bulls love to run, but defensively they fall off, and I believe the Shocker&#8217;s offense is efficient enough to take advantage of some of those extra possessions. They are one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the nation, and South Florida is No. 287 in offensive boards allowed and north of 300 at keeping teams off the stripe in eight true road games.</p>
<p>The Bulls love to shoot the three, and do so at a respectable clip, but the Shockers are one of the best teams in the nation at defending the perimeter, leading the conference in 3P Rate defense and ranking third in opponent 3P%, holding foes to just 30% from deep. Get the chicken sandwiches in your belly to soak up the excess cheap beer that these students will be drinking, and we are in for a rowdy crowd tonight at Charles Koch Arena.</p>
