College Football Betting Guide: How & Where to Bet on NCAA Football in 2024

From late summer to early winter, sports fans across the United States love to watch and bet on their favorite college football teams.
The college football landscape has been significantly altered by realignment, the transfer portal, and the introduction of NIL (name, image, and likeness).
Despite all of the changes, college football’s popularity with fans and bettors is and will remain very, very high.
In the four major professional sports leagues in the U.S. (MLB, the NFL, NBA, and NHL), there are 124 teams combined.
But in the highest level of college football, the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), there are 133 teams, as of the 2023 season.

Four teams (Notre Dame, Army, UConn, and UMass) are not currently attached to a conference in football, but the other 129 teams are spread across ten conferences.
The five major conferences (the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, SEC, and until the end of the 2023 season, the Pac-12) make up the Power Five. The other five conferences (the American Athletic Conference, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West, Sun Belt, and Conference USA) make up the Group of Five.
