It all comes down to this. The Washington Huskies take on the Michigan Wolverines down in Houston in the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship.
For a full breakdown of this game, check out this piece from our guy, Eddie Griffin.
But in this article, we will discuss the best player props in Monday’s contest!
Let’s break it down!
CFP National Championship – MUST BET Player Props
Blake Corum over 6.5 Receiving Yards (-115) Bovada
There’s no doubt that the Michigan running back will put in work on the ground, but he could easily clear this line in one screen or check down.
Corum has cleared this line in 6/14 games this season, but 19/37 dating back the last few seasons.
Now, he’s soared over this number in two straight games, posting 45 receiving yards in his L2. Plus, he’s cleared in 3 of his L4. He’s only caught a pass in 8/14 games but again, he could clear it in just 1 catch, which he’s done multiple times.
Against Washington in 2021, Corum caught 3 passes for 11 yards. The Huskies defense allowed 267 passing yards this year, and let Texas throw for 318.
Texas Running Backs caught 2 passes for 39 yards, and 4 for 45 in the National Semifinal. Bucky Irving caught 5 passes for 16 yards in the Pac-12 Championship, and caught 6 for 34 yards in their regular season meeting.
Clearly the Huskies forget about the man out of the back field when dropping into coverage.
Give me Corum to clear this line with ease on Monday.
Ja’Lynn Polk Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-115) Bovada
Polk has cleared 50+ receiving yards in 11/12 games this season. You read that correctly, 11 of 12. The one time he missed this line, he still had 5 catches for 41 yards.
Polk has posted 100+ yards 7 times this year, including 122 on 5 catches against Texas.
Polk has caught 3+ passes in every game this year, and has 5+ receptions in 10/12 games.
He is a deep ball threat, posting a 30+ yard reception in 9/12 games this year, and a 20+ yard reception in 11/12. With the amount of times Penix Jr. will drop back to pass, this line is far too low for Polk.
Watch him clear this line on the first drive with one 50 yard bomb.
