Like I said, only three games remain in the entire college basketball season. Here’s a preview of tomorrow’s Final Four!

The Pick: UCONN/Purdue Under 145.5 (-110)
Before I breakdown my play on the under, let me tell you why you should either lay the points with UCONN, or take the ML with Purdue.
Since 1994, there have only been 4 Championship games in which the betting underdog covered, but did not win. And to take it a step further, it has only happened twice since 1997.
- 1994: Duke Covers +6
- 1996: Syracuse Cover +14
- 2010: Butler Covers +7
- 2022: North Carolina Covers +4
That is literally it for the last 30 years.
What does this tell you exactly? If you like Purdue, don’t both with the points, just take them outright. If you like the Huskies, don’t get cute and just lay the points.
Now, for my under.
Despite Purdue liking to run up and down the floor on occasion, over their L10 games, the Boilermakers have ranked 280th overall in pace. The Huskies are just as slow, ranking 323rd in pace in their L10.
Defensively, they’ve been incredibly sound as well, with Purdue being 6th overall and UCONN ranking 2nd in defensive efficiency. Both teams have been lock down, however, Purdue does struggle to force turnovers.
They rank 339th in TO% Defensively in their L10, and ultimately this could be what hurts them. The Huskies will be able to run their sets, slow down their offense, without the risk of getting sped up or turning the ball over.
I think we really see the UCONN defense come to play tonight as they look to lock down Zach Edey and repeat as National Champions.

In this National Championship game, I expect defense to show out. Both teams have been incredible solid defensively over their last few games, and I do not see why that would end today!
